Travel packing list
Pick where you are going, when, who is travelling and what kind of trip it is. You get a packing list for the weather there, with documents, medicines, the plug type and kids' things, and you can tick it off as you pack.
Type a city. The name is sent to the Open-Meteo place search to find it.
The earliest expiry date among the travellers. It is checked against the 6-month rule.
Runs on your phone. Your choices and ticks are saved only in this browser on this device. If your trip starts within 14 days, the destination's coordinates and your dates are sent to Open-Meteo to get the forecast; nothing else is sent.
Before you fly
ICP advises that passports should be valid for at least six months before travelling: many countries refuse entry otherwise. Check the visa rules of your destination with its embassy or your airline.
Narcotic and psychotropic (controlled) medicines need a prescription, and the amount must not be more than three months of treatment. Residents apply for a free permit from the Ministry of Health and Prevention; visitors without approval must declare them on arrival. Other countries have their own rules: check before you go.
Cash, precious metals or valuables worth more than AED 60,000 must be declared to ICP when you enter or leave the UAE. Personal goods and gifts are duty free up to AED 3,000.
Saudi Arabia requires every Umrah pilgrim to have a meningococcal ACYW vaccine at least 10 days before arrival (conjugate: within 5 years; polysaccharide: within 3 years), with a certificate that names the vaccine and the date.
