Weather right now

Heat, UV and the air in your city right now, and a plain answer: is it a good time to be outside?

Nothing you pick is saved. To show the weather, the page asks Open-Meteo, a free public weather service, for the forecast at the city's coordinates (or yours, if you choose "My location").

How the verdict works

UV index

We use the World Health Organization's bands. 0–2 low: no protection needed. 3–7 moderate to high: shade at midday, a shirt, a hat and sunscreen. 8 and above, very high to extreme: extra protection, and avoid being out in the middle of the day.

Feels like

The "feels like" temperature adds the effect of humidity and wind. We read it like the heat index: from 32°C heat cramps and exhaustion become possible with long exposure or activity, and from 39°C they are likely, and heatstroke is possible.

Air and dust

We use the US Air Quality Index. Up to 100 is fine for most people. 101–150 is unhealthy for sensitive groups (children, older people, anyone with asthma or a heart or lung condition). Above 150 is unhealthy for everyone.

In the heat

The National Center of Meteorology's heat advice: drink water regularly and avoid direct sun in the peak afternoon hours. From 15 June to 15 September, outdoor work stops from 12:30 to 15:00 (the midday break).

This is general safety information, not medical advice. If you have asthma or a heart or lung condition, follow your doctor's plan. In an emergency call 998 (ambulance) or 999 (police).

These are model forecasts, not readings from a station near you. UV bands and advice: World Health Organization, Global Solar UV Index: A Practical Guide (2002). Heat bands: US National Weather Service heat index chart (caution from 27°C, extreme caution from 32°C, danger from 39°C, extreme danger from 52°C). Air quality bands: US EPA Air Quality Index, and the European Environment Agency's European Air Quality Index (2024 bands), as documented by Open-Meteo. Masks: American Lung Association (N95 masks filter fine particles; cloth and disposable masks do not protect against them). Always follow official NCM warnings.
