Time zone converter

UAE time next to the cities people here call most. See the time there now, or pick a time in Dubai and see it everywhere, with a hint for when it is a good time to call. You can also add any city in the world.

The UAE is 4 hours ahead of UTC all year. It does not change its clocks in summer.

Which time?
Clock

Runs on your device using its built-in time zone rules. Nothing is uploaded. Only the cities you add are saved, in this browser.

When is a good time to call?

Both between 8 am and 10 pmToo early or late for someone

The bar shows the 24 hours of the chosen day in Dubai. "Good" means it is between 8 am and 10 pm in both places: a simple rule of thumb, not a rule.

Good to know

Not every gap is whole hours

India and Sri Lanka are 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of the UAE, Nepal 1 hour 45 minutes, and Iran 30 minutes behind.

Gaps that change during the year

The UAE never changes its clocks, but the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, Egypt and Lebanon do. So the gap to London or New York is an hour smaller in their summer, and they switch on different dates.

Neighbours that stopped switching

Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states keep one time all year. Jordan and Türkiye now stay on UTC+3 all year, and Iran stopped changing its clocks in 2022.

Sources: the IANA time zone database, which your browser uses through the Intl API, for every city's offset and daylight saving rules; The New Arab, "Which MENA countries still change their clocks" (25 October 2025): the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states have no daylight saving time, Jordan, Syria and Türkiye stay on UTC+3, Iran abolished daylight saving time in 2022, while Egypt and Lebanon still change their clocks. If your device's software is very old, its rules may be out of date. The world city list (about 1,200 places: every capital, every city of half a million people or more, and one place for every time zone) comes from the open city-timezones dataset (MIT licence, based on Natural Earth and simplemaps) and the IANA zone table; Arabic names are our own transliterations, and country names come from your browser. The 8 am to 10 pm calling window is a rule of thumb, not a rule.
