Good to know
The Ministry of Education set one academic calendar for public schools and private schools across the UAE, for three years. Dubai (KHDA) and Abu Dhabi (ADEK) private schools follow it too, with their regulator's approval.
Private schools that do not teach the Ministry curriculum may move their mid-term break, or split it between October and February, as long as it is no more than five school days. Sharjah private schools are not part of this exception.
Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi curriculum schools run from April to March. Their 2027–28 dates are not announced yet.
Eid and National Day holidays depend on official announcements, and Eid on the moon sighting. Always confirm with your own school before you book travel.
