Fill the tank
Small cars hold about 40 to 45 litres, family saloons 50 to 65, big SUVs 70 to 100. Check your car's manual.
Your car's fuel use
A small car uses about 6 litres per 100 km, a saloon 7 to 9, a large SUV 11 to 15. City driving with the air conditioning on uses more.

How UAE fuel prices work
Since August 2015, retail fuel prices have followed world prices. The UAE Fuel Price Committee announces next month's prices around the last day of each month, and they apply from the 1st.
Use the octane your car's manual or fuel cap asks for. A higher number than needed doesn't make a normal engine faster or cleaner: it just costs more.
The pump price already includes 5% VAT. What the pump shows is what you pay.
Smooth driving, correct tyre pressure and less idling with the engine on can cut fuel use noticeably. See what your whole car costs with our car cost calculator, or your daily drive with what your commute costs.
