School supplies checklist
Pick each child's stage and get a starting list of uniform, bag and stationery. Change the items and quantities, add prices to see the cost, and tick things off as you buy them. Your school's own list always comes first.
Tips
Put the child's name on the bag, lunch box, water bottle, jumper, hat and every book. Lost property is full of identical uniforms and bottles.
A refillable water bottle (two, for long days), a hat for break time and outdoor PE, and light, breathable clothes. Children feel heat faster than adults: teach them to drink before they feel thirsty.
Schools set their own uniform and supply lists, and many sell the uniform only through their chosen supplier. Use this as a starting point and change it once the official list arrives.
Check last year's bag, calculator, geometry set and lunch box before buying new. Hand-me-down uniforms in good condition are fine for growing children.
