Your digital footprint score

Everything you post, share and sign up for leaves a trace. Make one guess, answer 10 quick questions, and get a score out of 100 with the three fixes that would help you most.

Why this matters

Small pieces add up

A school badge in one photo, a gym check-in in another, a birthday in a third. Each post looks harmless, but together they tell a stranger a lot.

One leak, many doors

When one website is breached, criminals try the same email and password everywhere else. A different password for each account stops that.

The second lock

2-step verification asks for a code or approval on top of your password. Even if your password leaks, the account stays shut.

You can shrink it

You can't erase everything, but you can make old posts private, delete accounts you don't use and turn off location in your camera today.

Sources: Pew Research Center, "Americans and Cybersecurity" (26 January 2017, survey of 1,040 US adults): 39% of online adults say most of their passwords are the same or very similar; 41% have shared an account password with friends or family; 52% use two-step or multifactor verification on at least one account. UAE Cyber Security Council, reported by WAM and Aletihad (14 September 2025): more than 1.4 billion accounts are hacked worldwide each month; download apps only from official stores, review app permissions, turn on two-factor authentication, and be careful about sharing your location and accepting friend requests. UK National Cyber Security Centre, "Top tips for staying secure online": a strong, separate password for your email, three random words, password managers, 2-step verification, updates and backups. US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, "Secure Our World" (2023): recognise and report phishing, use strong passwords, turn on multifactor authentication, update software. The questions and their weights are Jarreb's own simple model, not an official scale: the score is a rough guide, and we can't know everything about your accounts. Checked October 2026.
