QR code maker

Make a QR code for a link, a message, your Wi-Fi or a contact card. It updates as you type, and you can save it as a picture.

What should the code hold?

If you leave out https://, it is added for you.

Picture size

Damage protection (error correction)

How much of the code can be dirty, torn or covered and still scan. Higher protection makes a busier code. M suits screens, Q or H suits printed signs.

Runs on your device. Nothing you type is uploaded or saved.

What is inside the code

A QR code can hide any link

You cannot read a QR code with your eyes. Before you open one, check the address your camera shows. Fake codes stuck over real ones on parking meters and posters are a known trick. Spot the scam tricks

Good to know

Test before you print

Scan the code with two different phones before printing many copies. Keep a white border around it and print it at least about 2 cm wide.

It never expires

This code holds your link or text directly, so it keeps working for as long as the link does. There is no tracking and no account.

Wi-Fi codes

Most phone cameras can join a network from a Wi-Fi code. If you change the router password, make a new code.

PNG or SVG?

PNG is a normal picture for messages and documents. SVG stays sharp at any size, which is best for printing and design files.
