Papers checklist for UAE services
Pick what you need to do and your emirate. Get a list of the papers and steps you can tick off, with the official fees, the time if it is published, and the official links.
Runs on your phone. Nothing you pick is uploaded. Your ticks are saved only in this browser on this device, so they are still there when you come back. "Clear ticks" removes them.
Before you go
Most services are online now, but keep the originals of passports, Emirates IDs and certificates with you if you go to a centre. A clear phone scan of each saves time.
Certificates issued outside the UAE (marriage, birth, degree) usually need attestation in the country that issued them, at the UAE embassy there, and then by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, plus a legal Arabic translation.
Late Emirates ID renewal and overstaying after a residence expires both carry daily fines. A newborn's residence has a 120-day deadline.
Fees and steps change. This list is a guide that was checked on the date shown. The official page and the authority always have the final word.

Where we could not confirm a step or fee on an official page, it is marked "check with the authority". This is a guide, not legal advice.
