AED inflation calculator
Pick two years and see what an amount in dirhams from one year is worth in the other, using the UAE's official consumer price figures.
Only years with published yearly figures can be picked: 2007 to 2025. The 2026 figure is not out yet.
Runs on your phone. Nothing you type is uploaded or saved. The figures are built into the page.

What could prices be in a few years?
This is arithmetic, not a forecast: nobody knows future inflation. The rate stays the same every year here, which real prices never do.
How to read this
The consumer price index follows the cost of a fixed basket of what households buy: housing, food, transport, schooling and more. Your own costs can rise faster or slower.
Each year here is the average of that year's prices. Month-to-month figures, and the headlines about them, can differ.
UAE prices fell in 2019 and 2020. They only climbed back above their 2018 level in 2022. So the line is not always going up.

Sources: World Bank, World Development Indicators, "Inflation, consumer prices (annual %)" for the United Arab Emirates (FP.CPI.TOTL.ZG), which is based on the consumer price index of the UAE Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC); read through the FRED database, series FPCPITOTLZGARE, last updated 13 October 2026, checked October 2026. The page uses the published yearly rates for 2008 to 2025 and chains them into an index (2010 = 100); 2007 is the starting point of that chain. Nothing has been added or estimated. The FCSC has since rebased its own index, so its tables can show slightly different figures. 2026 is not published yet. The future prices are simple compound arithmetic.
