Good to know
In the UAE, Hajj for citizens is organised by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat (Awqaf). Register in its app or website in the registration window, and book only with an operator it has licensed. Saudi Arabia allows no Hajj without a permit.
Dubai Police have warned about social media ads for "guaranteed" permits and cheap packages that take the money and disappear. A real operator gives you a Nusuk reference, a package confirmation and your visa status. "No need for Nusuk" is a red flag.
The meningococcal ACYW vaccine is required for Hajj and Umrah, at least 10 days before arrival. The UAE health ministry asks Hajj pilgrims to have all required vaccines at least 15 days before travel. If you have a long-term illness, see your doctor early.
Hajj dates follow the Hijri calendar and the moon sighting, so they are about 11 days earlier each year. Check the final dates with your operator.
