Measure yourself
Around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, with the tape level all round. Breathe out normally. Wear thin clothes.
Waist: the narrowest part, usually just above the belly button. Hips: the widest part of the hips and seat, feet together.
Around the base of the neck where the collar sits, with one finger under the tape for room.
Stand on paper with your weight on the foot, heel against a wall. Mark the tip of the longest toe and measure from the wall. Do both feet, late in the day, and use the longer one.
Measure height barefoot against a wall. Children's sizes in Europe and much of Asia are the child's height in cm, which is more reliable than age.
